Angel's Angels

Angel's Angels has been created to memorialize and honor the loving companionship of Angel and Annice Laws. Annice is a tireless believer in SNIFF and is responsible for many of the marketing pieces we have to promote our events.  On July 2, 2013, she lost her beloved Angel. This page is dedicated to Angel and Annice and to all who have been blessed with the unconditional love of a pet. Run free Angel.

Angel Laws

All the joy left the world today. My sweet, exquisite girl is gone.
She was nobility without conceit, friendship without envy,
beauty without vanity, loyalty without compromise.
On a gossamer rein, she allowed me to hold
a splendor of grace and fire in my hand.
I borrowed freedom when we rode. Her body took the weight of mine, and I was carried through time to timelessness itself.
In her eyes I was exalted and her soul transformed me.
I can still hear her hoofbeats.
They are now, and forevermore, the beats of my heart.

Callie Katt

7 Feb 2003 - 9 Jan 2018

We say farewell and Godspeed to beloved Callie. Adopted as a puppy by SniffAZ board member Rebecca Katt she was a steadfast companion. True to her Miniature Pinscher breeding, Callie ruled her world and those in it. She loved basking in the Arizona sunshine, and snuggling on your lap. In addition to Becky, she leaves behind her dad, Jon Stanley, who cherished her from the moment he came into her life, and her canine brother Mully who will miss her greatly. Rest in Peace, Callie darling.

Max Sharp

August 30, 2017

Max was adopted by SniffAZ's very own Todd Sharp and Elizabeth Sharp at SNIFF 2016. Max was a senior dog with medical issues. Todd immediately knew Max had to be part of the Sharp family. Sadly, Max Sharp crossed the rainbow bridge on Aug 30th surrounded by his 4-legged siblings and his 2-legged people. He was truly surrounded by love. And always will be.

Mr. Copa Mains

March 3, 2017

On Friday, March 3, 2017 the Rainbow Bridge felt another set of footfalls, those of Copa, the much-loved family member of SNIFF co-founder and board member Tracyann Mains and her husband, Derrick. Known at times as Mr. Copacetic Mains, he was also the faithful companion of Tracyann’s mother, Pat, and to his spiritual sister, Lola. An avid hiker and lover of the outdoors, bold figurehead at the prow of every road trip, and enthusiast for virtually everything edible, Copa gave 13 years of unconditional love, protection, joy, worry, warmth and radiant memories to his family and everyone who visited. All who knew him will miss his expressive eyes and noble demeanor, but to his family his passing leaves a void that can never be filled and will forever be cherished. Rest well, Mr. Copa. Our hearts are heavy, but your indelible presence will never leave us.

Bernie Fuentes

October 18, 2016

Beloved family pet to SniffAZ Board of Director, Danielle, Gilbert, and Mya Fuentes crossed the rainbow bridge on Oct 18, 2017. He got to meet his little sister Mya (Pictured in her room) and show her the family ropes for a few weeks. He will be missed greatly!

Blakey Sharp

Blakey Sharp joined his brother Petey at the Rainbow Bridge. Blakey was an energetic bundle of awesomeness who filled the home of Liz (SNIFF Co-founder and Board Chair) and Todd Sharp with happy memories. Like all "Sharpies", Blakey was blessed to find a home to be loved and share his love.  He and Todd were best buds and he will be sorely missed by the entire clan.  Rest in Peace Blakey!

Petey Sharp

March 5, 2016

Petey Sharp crossed the rainbow bridge on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Petey was the owner of Liz (SNIFF Co-founder and Board Chair) and Todd Sharp. Petey was blessed to find his parents to adopt as they were in desperate need of him. He leaves behind 3 fursiblings and we are sure he provided them with instructions on how to care for Todd and Liz, and each other, so that a piece of Petey will always be with them.  Run free Petey!!

Maxi Kahn

November 15, 2015

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of Maxi Kahn. She was the faithful companion of our Board of Director, Laurie Kahn, for over 16 years. Laurie's love of Maxi transcended to all cats and she is always quick to make sure cats are represented at our Board meetings and events. We are pretty sure Maxi is responsible for some of our more creative sponsorships Laurie has put together for SNIFF events.  Rest in Peace sweet Maxi!

Stella Cozzi

June 21, 2015

Each time another beloved pet goes on this page, our hearts break. This one is especially difficult. Stella Cozzi, our honorary Board Member, crossed the rainbow bridge on June 21, 2015.  Stella was the enthusiastic greeter at each of our Board and Committee meetings that she hosted at her home. She graciously greeted everyone with a warm tail wag and never turned down a good butt scratching (or a bad one for that matter). She was a very generous donor to SNIFF saving her treat money so she could make a donation instead to help other puppies in need. Stella was a wonderful fur sibling to Mr. Johnny Cash, a beloved fur baby to our very own Board member and Co-founder, Tammy Cozzi, and to Stella's daddy, Al. Mostly, Stella had a heart full of love and was a friend to everyone who met her.  Run free Stella!!

Hudson McDaniel

July 21, 2014

Hudson will forever be a loving friend and companion to my wonderful friend and co-worker Misty. We spent many "coffe chats" talking about the exploits of our dogs. Hudson found eternal love with his momma and she did everything she could for him - even walking him in a fountain in between PT water-therapy sessions so that his leg wouldn't hurt while it healed. He found the right momma to heap his love into.

“The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love.”  - Hilary Stanton Zunin

Rest in peace, good boy!

Emmie Estrella
May 7, 2014

Emmie never knew how she helped me through some of my saddest days. Every hike I take, I wish my pokey (sometimes grumpy) girl was with me. And yet, she always is. Run free my sweet, special girl.

Note: Cynthia is a former Board Member for Power of One Good Deed and currently resides in Spain. Our heartfelt sympathy to her during this difficult time. RIP Emmie!

Maggie Batheja

Here is the picture of my sweet Maggie. She passed away on December 24, 2012. She gave me unconditional love and affection for 16 years. She was very strong, tenacious and friendly at the same time.I will love her and miss her forever.

Mabel Lopez

Sweet Mabel! With her little tongue and loving heart she was an endearing tiny soul who found herself loved by many. Tina rescued Mable who had been surrendered due to "old age" at 15. Thinking she would have her for a few short weeks, she showered her with love. Well, those showers lasted for almost 5 years. Little Mabel was just shy of 20 years old when she told her momma it was time to go now. Mabel was a frequent visitor to work, events and fundraisers and will be missed by all those who knew her. But most especially by her momma. In her honor, Tina is now fostering another senior foster dog. Mabel is smiling brightly!

Oscar St John-Anders
Oscar St. Anders

We lost our beloved Oscar on May 13, 2013. He was my Buddy and I miss his handsome face. Yesterday I received this message in an inspirational daily email called Thoughts from the Universe:

I just want you to know, Marta, that those animals you've known, who've moved beyond the veils of time and space, were forever changed by your love, they're alive and well, and they've banded together to ask me a favor... that I make sure you get this message.

Bark, meow, chirp, ergle -
    The Universe

Oscar was the beloved pet of Marta St. John-Anders

Smokey Woodring

Smokey Woodring was found outside a local Home Depot by grandpa who then presented him to his grandson. Who could say no? Smokey loved being outdoors and regularly patrolled the 2 acre perimeter of his domain with soldier-like efficiency. A faithful companion to Cedonn & Skeeter, he was a good ol' boy and his antics are missed!

Cedonn Woodring

Cedonn was found abandoned on a bridge. Cedonn and her cat Skeeter ruled the roost together with Cedonn running to let the family know when Skeeter wanted to come inside. When the kids were born, Cedonn naturally assumed the role of Nanny and would now run to also alert her mom when the human baby was crying or upset.  She also welcomed Smokey into the fold with open paws and shared her home with him for many years. She was the perfect loving dog to everyone and brought joy wherever she was.

Skeeter Woodring

Skeeter was a stray who enjoyed his luxuries - like sleeping on your head at night - but he was not one to give up his wandering ways. For 18 years, Skeeter maintained his nocturnal adventures but always returned home to sure food, warmth and love. He outlived his Smokey dog and his protector, Cedonn but now runs freely with them both at the Rainbow Bridge.
